Portfolio presentations will be video recorded by OTA staffers, and will be guided by a professional technical director.<br \/>\nTechnicians should prepare to:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li>orally review their portfolio contents<\/li>\n \t<li>explain their interests, strengths, and professional goals in technical theatre<\/li>\n \t<li>discuss their experience with tools, techniques, and relevant computer programs<\/li>\n \t<li>practical experience in technical theatre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, technicians should be prepared to answer standard interview questions, such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li>\u201cWhy should I hire you?\u201d<\/li>\n \t<li>\u201cWhat are your professional goals?\u201d<\/li>\n \t<li>\u201cHow do you deal with deadlines, pressure, and stress?\u201d<\/li>\n \t<li>\u201cTell me about a time when you faced a technical challenge and found a solution.\u201d<\/li>\n \t<li>\u201cWhat has been your proudest moment in theatre?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Video portfolios will be unlisted on You-Tube, available only when the link is shared. At the request of the technician, we will make videos public or private.
